Yes, there are plenty of logo houses out there. But they all lack one important element...human contact. You are more than welcome to purchase a generic logo from them, but try and get some changes made to it and you can forget it! That is why working one on one with a receptive designer makes the process so much more fun and cost effective.

The first step in my process is to meet face to face with you, the client. I am a big fan of getting to know all my clients. This is a huge help in my design idea flow. I will find out your likes and dislikes...the latter being the most important!

The second part of the process involves researching your industry and finding out what other businesses are doing within your industry. This gives me more of a clue of how I can help make your business stand out and get noticed.

The third part of my logo design process is rolling up my sleeves and getting to work. Work starts with a series of sketches that I create to brainstorm and develop concepts. Yes, I said sketch. Any professional designer will create sketches before he or she ever touches a computer. I will present my sketches to you and we will discuss what you like and what you do not like. Once we are in agreement on a certain look, that's when the fourth stage comes into play.

The fourth part of the logo design process is when things really start to get fun! I start to actually generate your logo using my computer and software. The software I use is a program that generates art in what is called a vector format. Not to get too complicated, this program is able to generate artwork that can be re-sized to any dimensions without losing quality. This is very important part of the process. From here we can make any final tweeks to the design.

At this point, the logo is done and it is yours to keep. Upon final payment, I will provide you with the logo in all formats and I will include the logo in black and white to use in situations when color will not work. All this will be contained on a CD.

I know what you are saying...what a lengthy process! I agree, it is lengthy, but it is very thorough. A logo or identity is one of the most important things you can do for your business. Don't you want to make sure it is going to be effective?
